With the continuous improvement of people's quality of life, people have a certain understanding of the requirements of indoor environment. Traditional decorative materials can no longer meet the needs of modern people, and they begin to require better safety, applicability and specific decorative materials. This paper first summarizes the emergence and development of plastics, then discusses the commonly used plastic decorative materials in interior design and their functions in use, analyzes their artistic characteristics, and discusses the application of plastic decorative materials in interior design.
