In present scenario Mobile Sensor Networks (MSNs) have gained lot of attention as a benefiting technology in many applications. MSN with static sink suffers from uneven energy consumption of nodes. Mobile Sink (MS) has expunged this drawback to a certain extent. But data collection through MS introduces more latency. Therefore, swift and efficient data collection is a challenge in large MSNs. This work attempts to reduce communication distance by forming multiple chains of CHs present in a particular region. MS collects accumulated data from Chain-Cluster Head (C-CH). Performance is evaluated through simulation and found improvement in terms of network lifetime, reduced energy consumption and data collection latency. |
