Abstract
By analyzing the relationship between nanotechnology and medical science, especially nanotechnology and acupuncture, the application of nanotechnology methods for the research of meridians in Chinese medicine, acupoint catgut embedding therapy (ACET) and the therapeutic mechanism in the field of acupuncture are discussed. Nanotechnology is one of the fastest developing areas in science, with far reaching potential that can greatly promote the development of medical science and acupuncture. Nanotechnology will allow for the development of acupuncture to reach unprecedented levels. Its pointed out that breakthroughs will be achieved from the research of the application of nanotechnology on meridian diagnosis and propagated sensation along channel(PSC), nano-threads for ACET, and acupuncture therapeutic mechanism on Climacteric Syndrome (CS).
