Abstract

The results of studies of the kinetics of the formation of hybrid electrode materials representing the carbon fabric of the Ural T-22R modified with molybdenum, manganese, cobalt oxides and iron are presented. It is shown that the mechanism of this process is quite complex and proceeds in several stages, in the cathode half-period, parallel reactions of incomplete reduction of molybdenum ions and the release of hydrogen occur, while the process of reduction of molybdenum ions is probably catalyzed by citrate complexes of cobalt and iron. In the anode half-period, the main electrochemical reaction is the release of oxygen due to the discharge of water molecules.
