DescriptionThe New Jersey 1990 State Water Quality Inventory Report is an assessment of current water quality conditions in the State's major rivers, lakes, estuaries, ocean waters, and ground water. In addition, the report describes which waters are attaining state designated water uses and national clean water goals; the pollution problems identifies in surface waters; and the suspects and known sources of water pollution. A statewide listing of waters where toxins are suspected or known to be elevated because of wastewater discharges is also included, as required by the Water Quality Act of 1987.
