Lamine Boumaiza has obtained his MSc degree in earth sciences from the University of Quebec at Chicoutimi (Canada) in 2008. He has worked in geoenvironmental consulting in Quebec (Canada) for 7 years, before coming back to the University of Quebec at Chicoutimi in 2016 for conducting a PhD project focusing on the hydraulic erodibility of rock.
Dr. Ali Saeidi is Professor at Université du Québec à Chicoutimi in Canada. He received his PhD degree in civil engineering from École des Mine de Nancy in France. His specialties include experimental rock mechanics and risk analysis in geotechnical engineering. His current research involves risk evaluation of rock spillway in dams.
Dr. Marco Quirion is currently rock mechanics engineer at Hydro-Quebec in the Dam Expertise Department of the Production Division. He graduated in geological engineering from Université Laval and obtained a PhD degree in civil engineering from Sherbrooke University. Dr. Quirion is involved in dam foundation assessment, dam grouting, rock slope stability and pressure tunnels studies. He is active in research & development (R&D) projects on rock erodibility and concrete-rock shear strength.
