Benny Goodman’s class of nursing students drew up a framework to learn about the ‘fuzzy subject’ of dignity
During a recent tutorial on the subject of dignity, my students and I agreed that while it was essential to good care, it was also an ill-defined concept and therefore difficult to learn about systematically. As a consequence, we devised a short five-step framework (see box) to boost understanding and learning about the concept.
