IF THERE is one thing that has bedevilled the UKCC since its inception in 1983 it is the plight of enrolled nurses. This is a conundrum of neither the ENs’ nor the UKCC’s making. It goes back a long way in nursing history, yet retains a powerful ability to set nurse against nurse and, most certainly, nurse against regulatory body.
