The issue of informal care in Britain is thought to be well-understood, with research producing a comprehensive picture of the incidence, nature and experience of informal care. There is no information, however, on informal care among the 2.57 million black people living in this country. This has led to black carets being described as one of the most neglected and invisible groups in the country.
