R code for thesis project entitled "Estimating the frequency of infectious diseases in heterogeneous populations: methodological overview and application to the COVID-19 outbreak in Belgium"

This document contains the R code used for a master thesis project. As part of this project, a phenomenological generalised growth model was used to characterise the early epidemic trajectory of the COVID-19 outbreak in Belgium and in selected other settings. The numbering in the figshare document corresponds to tables and figures in the master thesis document submitted at the University of Hasselt, Belgium. The content was developed by a student with the support of a thesis supervisor.
