Description
Isurus paucus Guitart Manday, 1966.
Longfin Mako. To about 4.27 m (14 ft) TL (Weigmann 2016). Circumglobal; western Pacific Ocean north to southern Japan (Yoshino and Aonuma in Nakabo 2002); two records from southern California (Ebert 2003), and one specimen from well off Cabo San Lucas (21°44’N, 112°10’W), Baja California (Ruiz-Campos et al. 2010). Pelagic; depth: 30–1,767 m (98–5,796 ft) (min.: Ebert 2003; max.: Hueter et al. 2017), possibly to surface (Allen and Robertson 2015)
