Neotype ♀ in NHML (see Clay 1940b: 65).

Type host: Gallus gallus (Linnaeus, 1758).

Chilean host: Gallus gallus domesticus Brisson, 1760.

Other hosts: Gallus sonneratii Temminck, 1813; Gallus lafayettii Lesson, 1831.

Chilean locality: Valdivia: Region XIV.

Geographic distribution: All continents, except Antarctica.
