Description
Priacanthus alalaua Jordan & Evermann, 1903.
Alalaua or Hawaiian Bigeye. To 32 cm (13 in) TL (Starnes in Carpenter and Niem 1999). Isla Guadalupe (Reyes-Bonilla et al. 2010); Rocas Alijos, southern Baja California; Islas Revillagigedo; Hawai’i; perhaps in other eastern Pacific sites (Starnes 1988). Depth: 9–296 m (30–971 ft) (min.: Starnes in Fischer et al. 1995; max.: Mundy 2005).
