Hyporthodus cifuentesi

Description

Hyporthodus cifuentesi (Lavenberg & Grove, 1993).

Olive Grouper. To 100 cm (39.3 in) (Robertson and Allen 2008). Bahía San Hipólito (26°58’N, 113°58’W) (Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California); tip of Baja California; southern Mexico to Ecuador and many offshore islands (Robertson and Allen 2008). Depth: 2–300 m (6–984 ft) (min.: Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California; max.: Auster et al. 2016).
