Description

Matrices for an artificial fishtail based on Modeling and Motion Planing for an Artificial Fishtail.

The fish_tail.mat file contains the second order system matrices

    M*x'' + E*x' + K*x = Bu*u,
                     y = C*x,

of an artificial fishtail, where the matrix C = Cp contains only the end point and C = Cp_ext contains 7 points on the surface of the mesh including the end point. The matrices M, E and K are symmetric positive-definite.

The same matrices are provided in compressed files using the Matrix Market Exchange Format.

The matrices are derived by the Finite Element Method for linear elasticity applying the open source tool Firedrake on a tetrahedron Mesh generate by Trelis. Due to numerical effect the resulting matrices are asymmetrical and have been post-processed, such that the here provided matrices are symmetric.
