This phenomenon is interesting to be further examined so that it can be proven whether the understanding to political education and education levels can influence the participation quality in an election. The population of this research are 1377 beginner voters spread in 31 polling stations in Pasar Ambacang Village, Kuranji Sub=District, Padang City, West Sumatra. Furthermore, the significance value of the level of education is 0.454, which means it is greater than 0.01. It shows that there is no difference in political participation quality of beginner voters with the level of education. Significance value obtained for the understanding of political education at *the level of education is 0.811 which means greater than 0.01.
