Abstract

Macroscopically the Sori granodiorite mass in the Ashio-mountainblock has relatively homogeneous rock facies. According to the result of the chemical analyses of the 5 specimens from the various parts of the mass, they show little difference in the chemical ccmpositicn. The differences between the maximum and minimum value in the each oxides are as follows:-
SiO2 2.69%, Al2O3 2.40%, Fe2O3 0.76%, FeO 0.85%, MgO 0.14%, CaO 0.66%, Na2O 0.83%, K2O 0.75%.
