چکیده

در این پژوهش قابلیتهای یک نرم‌افزار مدلسازی اجزای محدود با عنوان کامسول بررسی شده است. در این خصوص، یک مثال پرکاربرد در زمینه مهندسی مکانیک ارائه و با استفاده از این نرم‌افزار تحلیل شده است. این نرم‌افزار دارای ماژولهای گوناگونی برای حل مسائل مهندسی است و این امکان را فراهم می‌آورد که چند ماژول به طور همزمان برای مدلسازی مسائل به‌کار برده شود و در نتیجه، تحلیل مسائل مهندسی شامل فیزیکهای چندگانه ساده‌تر صورت گیرد. در این پژوهش ماژولهای مکانیک سازه‌ای و معادلات دیفرانسیل جزئی در نرم‌افزار، برای بررسی مثال یاد شده استفاده می‌شود. تحلیل مسئله مورد نظر که شامل بررسی رفتار لوله پلیمری انتقال گاز است، نشان می‌دهد که چگونه این نرم افزار در تحلیل عددی مسائل مهندسی شامل فیزیکهای چندگانه کوپل شده سودمند است. نتایج رضایتبخش حاصل از این مسئله علمی ـ صنعتی پرکاربرد، قابلیت این نرم‌افزار را در مدلسازی و همچنین، تحلیل عددی مسائل با روش اجزاء محدود برای مهندسان، پژوهشگران و دانشجویان بیش از پیش روشن می‌سازد.

چکیده [English]

In this paper, the capabilities of a finite element software package, known as COMSOL Multiphysics, are investigated. An applicable example in the field of mechanical engineering is presented and analyzed using this software package. COMSOL Multiphysics has various modules for solving different engineering problems. The software provides the capability of simultaneous using of several modules for analyzing the problems; and therefore facilitates multiphysics modeling of engineering problems. In this study, the two modules of structural mechanics and partial differential equations are employed to analyze the problem. The analysis of this problem, which includes the investigation of the behavior of a polymer pipe used for transferring gas, shows how the software could be useful in the numerical analysis of engineering problems involving coupled multi-physics. The obtained satisfactory results of this scientific industrial problem solution elaborate the capabilities of the software in modeling as well as numerical analysis using finite element method for engineers, researchers, and students.
