Uncontrolled nuclear reactions have released a number of radioactive fission products into the atmosphere. This study was undertaken to investigate various parameters influencing the uptake of 197Cs in a wild population of Columbian black-tailed deer at the Hopland Field Station of the University of Calfornia.
