المستخلص

يتناول البحث دورالأزهر الشريف في نقد الفکر الاستشراقي حول الإسلام، ويلقي الضوء على بعض  الجهود التي قام بها علماؤه في هذا الشأن، کما يبين المنهج الوسطي للأزهر وتقبله للفکر الآخر.
اشتمل البحث على تمهيد وثلاثة مباحث، أما التمهيد فقد أوضحت فيه أبرز مفردات عنوان البحث.
وأما المبحث الأول فقد ذکرت فيه نبذة تاريخية عن الأزهر الشريف منذ إنشائه وحتى عصرنا الحاضر، وأظهرت فيه کيف واکب الأزهر تطور العصر على مر الأزمنة.
والمبحث الثاني بينت فيه تاريخ الاستشراق، ودوافعه المتعددة، وبعض الآثار التي خلفها الاستشراق على العالم الإسلامي.
وأما المبحث الثالث فقد أبرزت فيه دور الأزهر الشريف کمؤسسة وقلعة علمية کبيرة في نقد الخطاب الاستشراقي حول الإسلام، وتعرضت فيه لبعض الجهود التي قام بها أبناء الأزهر وعلماؤه في هذا الأمر، وأهمها: ذهاب بعضهم لتعليم الغربيين والتدريس في جامعات أوربا، وابتعاث بعضهم للدراسة في الجامعات الغربية، وتأليف الکتب، وإجراء الحوارات وعقد المناظرات مع بعض المستشرقين إلى غير ذلک من الجهود.
Research Summary:
The research deals with the role of Al-Azhar in criticizing Orientalist thought about Islam, and sheds light on some of the efforts made by its scholars in this regard, as it shows the intermediate approach of Al-Azhar and its acceptance of the other thought.
The research included a preface and three topics, while the preface clarified the most prominent vocabulary of the research title
As for the first topic, I mentioned a historical summary about Al-Azhar Al-Sharif from its inception until the present day, and it showed how Al-Azhar has kept pace with the development of the age over the ages.
The second topic shows the history of Orientalism, its multiple motives, and some of the effects that Orientalism has had on the Islamic world.
As for the third topic, Ihighlighted the role of Al-Azhar as a large scientific institution and castle in criticizing the Orientalist discourse on Islam, and it exposed some of the efforts made by the sons of Al-Azhar and its scholars in this matter, the most important of which are: some of them went to teach Westerners and teach in universities in Europe, and some of them dispatched to study in universities Western, writing books, conducting debates and holding debates with some orientalists to other efforts.
