This Research highlights on the Strategies of the Argument in the Political Discourse of Yitzhak Rabin by the analysis of the political discourse of Y. Rabin which he delivered at the Knesset session in 12.6.1984 on the occasion of two years of Lebanon War.
This research presents A linguistic Analytical Perspective of the Most Important Strategies Which are Used in Building of the Israeli Political Discourse depending on the mixing between the Critical Studies of the Political Discourse, and the theories of the Linguistic argument, so it deals with the argumentative structure of the discourse and the mechanism of arguments forming and presenting the logical justification and results for this purpose.
As well as this study shows the Ideological dimensions behind using of variety argumentation strategies in Y.R. discourse which reflected the negative of point of view of the Israeli Left to the political process as a whole in Israel, and to the mismanagement of war by likud party, and also the types of conflict over power among the Left and Right Israeli Parties.
This research reached to the conclusion that the political discourse is an argumentative discourse in essence, aims to persuade the public and get them to comply with the opinions and perception of the speaker. Political argument is a mechanism turned the power of word to political act in reality. The results show that the linguistic syntactical and rhetorical methods are an integral part of argumentative structure of the political discourse.
