Abstract

This paper examines the perception of the role of those who work in communications, and notes that many PR professionals have qualifications in backgrounds which do not neccesarily relate to pure PR work. It discusses new qualifications in Germany which provide an opportunity for all those active in this field to gain a nationally recognised certification of their competencies.
