Abstract

The 2002 Survey of Business Owners is part of the Economic Census, conducted every five years for years ending in "2" and "7." Statistics describe the characteristics of U.S. businesses by ownership category (i.e., by gender, Hispanic or Latino origin, and race of principal owners for both employer and non-employer businesses). Data are presented for detailed industries and geographies, and by size of firm (receipts and employment information).
