Abstract:
The objective of the article is to analyse the possibilities of the use of mobile applications and Internet browsers on mobile (smartphone, tablet) and traditional devices (laptop, desktop computer) from the point of view of a client. The analysis has been carried out in two stages. In the first stage, the authors conducted an examination of possibilities and conditionings of the use of mobile and tradition devices in e-commerce. In the second stage, they compared two phenomena: e-commerce carried out via mobile applications and internet browsers on mobile devices and electronic commerce with the use of browsers on traditional devices. The structure of the article comprises the presentation of the assumptions of the study, the description of methodology and research sample as well as the analysis and discussion of the obtained findings. The qualitative study has been conducted by means of a CAWI method covering a sample of university students.
