The review highlights historical aspects of the study of the Crimean–Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF) in the world and on the territory of our country, modern data on the study of the CCHF virus, epidemiological characteristics of CCHF, mites and hosts, mechanisms and ways of transferring CCHF to humans. The issues of prevention and antiepidemic measures in this nosology, epidemiological surveillance of CCHF are considered.
