ABSTRACT
Food hubs offer aggregation and distribution services for local small and midsize farmers and emerge as a new business model in the regional food supply chain systems. However, limited research has been conducted to review the existing scholarly literature, identify the research gaps, and recommend future research on food hubs. This study surveys and synthesizes the current research and studies in food hubs from different perspectives in the United States. The research also discusses the research gaps in the literature and directions for future research.
