EC request - Conservation of three species of ray

Given the threatened status of sawfish populations throughout their distribution range,  protective management measures  are required.  Placing all species of sawfish (Pristis spp.) on the Prohibited species list would provide additional protection for any vagrants in EC waters, but more   importantly   would   allow the   EC to   more   clearly protect these speciesin EU    fisheries operating in non-EU    waters.
