Abstract:
The paper presents the following pomological and technological properties of newly introduced hazelnut cultivars: fruit mass, kernel percentage, catkin pollen shedding, chemical fruit content, cropping and ripening time.

Fruit mass in the cultivars studied, varied from 3.26 g (Barcelona) to 2.53 g (Tombul Yagli). The highest kernel percentage was found in Tombul Yagli (56.55 %) and the smallest in Barcelona (42.38 %). The following cultivars proved to have the biggest cropping: Sivri Yagli, Ricicia di Talanica, Extra Yagli, and Giromello. Tonda Langhe was the earliest to ripen (18 August) in the conditions of Cacak.
