| Objective | Assessing geostrophic fluxes from surface to seabed. This assessment was carried out in the framework of a study (SU.Z.AN programme) on fronts and fluctuations in the Antarctic circulation, and was performed on a leg between the Kerguelen Islands and Amsterdam Island. It was the first time that a detailed hydrological section, both in latitude and depth, was made in this area of the ocean. |
