Abstract

Adaptive drilling tools, wide spread in the exploitation of alternated rocks of the layers intermittent by strength, change their structure in the process and require justification, of not only constructive, but operating parameters as well. For this propose a mathematical model of the drilling process by means adaptive bit with a retractable blade. The article examines the possible modes of interaction of the adaptive bit with the borehole bottom and justifies the conditions and limitations. The developed calculation program using with programming language «C sharp» used allowed to determine the rational values of retractable blade, to obtain the dependence of drilling speed on the forward force in terms of transient regimes, to compare the adaptive and locked bits for the same drilling conditions.

Keywords: drilling; the layers intermittent by strength; cutting bits; adaptive structures.
