Abstract

The paper analyzes the possibility of using various schemes for the utilization of municipal waste and the use of such microturbine complexes with an electric power of 30 – 200 kW for power supply for their own needs. Waste recycling uses: burning in boiler plants along with the capture and removal of generated harmful emissions; gasification of organic waste with the formation and further use of biogas; hydrothermal destruction of wastes; pyrolysis waste treatment.At the output of these recycles systems, a waste milieu appears that has a certain energy resource, which should be used to generate energy for own needs. In combination with the recycles facilities are recommended to use microturbines for power generation with an electric power of 30 – 200 kW. The analysis of various design schemes of single-stage microturbines: centripetal and axial; single- and double-flow; horizontal and verticalhave been performed. In order to reduce the overall dimensions of microturbines, they should be performed with high-speed rotational speeds up to 20000 rpm on rolling bearings and up to 100000 rpm on gas-dynamic bearings. Recommendation of usage to apply a centripetal single-stage, double-flow microturbine of horizontal designas a result of the performed analysis.Keywords: pump; roller; elastic shell; flow; rotor; roller.
