Nghi Q. Lam is a senior scientist in the Materials Science Division of Argonne National Laboratory. Since joining Argonne in 1971, he has been engaged in research on atomic defects, mass transport theories, irradiation effects, ion-beam analysis and modification, and solid-state amorphization.

Paul R. Okamoto is a senior scientist in the Materials Science Division of Argonne National Laboratory. His principal research interests include irradiation effects, ion-beam analysis and modification, lattice instabilities, solid-state amorphization, and electron microscopy.
