Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease: modern concepts of etiology, pathogenesis, diagnostics and treatment

The analysis of modern concepts of etiology, pathogenesis, constitutional predisposition and diagnostics of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) was carried out.
The mechanisms of the development of fibrosis in NAFLD are discussed, the possibilities and limitations of noninvasive diagnostics for this pathology are described. The algorithm of examination and management of patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease at different stages of the disease development is proposed.
