"Authorship has been attributed to Edward Bell, clerk of the Chatham, and also to William Walker, surgeon. Reprinted from the Washington Historical Quarterly, vol.5, no.2, April, 1914 to vol.6, no.I, January, 1915. The original ms. is in the Alexander Turnbull Library, Wellington, New Zealand. This portion for the period April to September, 1792, covers Puget Sound and Vancouver Island, including Nootka Sound. Reprinted in 1957 as an appendix to E.S.
