Abstract: The effect of the first intermediate roll traverse on strip shape is calculated and analyzed through establishing the deformation model of the roll system in Sendzimir twenty-roller mill.It is found that the strip edge thinning phenomenon is improved obviously as the first intermediate roll traverse quantity increases,the central unit rolling force has a small increase as the unit width rolling force on the strip edge is obviously reduced,the front tension on the edge of rolling piece increase gradually while the front tension on the middle decreases gradually.Through establishment and analysis of the model,a theoretical reference was provided for practical production of Sendzimir twenty-roller mill.
