Abstract: A field experiment was carried out to investigate the effects of humic acid fertilizer on soil nutrient contents and aroma quality of flue-cured tobacco in Jingxi county of Guangxi Province during 2010-2011.The results showed that applications of humic acid fertilizer could increase major nutrients in soil,especially available potassium,enhance the economic characters significantly.The highest economic attributes were observed at the rate of 150 kg/ha.The humic acid fertilizer could also maintain better chemical components and smoking quality of flue-cured tobacco,increase major aroma components and total aroma components obviously.The best application rate of humic acid fertilizer was 150 kg/ha in tobacco-planting soil of Baise.
