Proposal of a Hybrid Drone with Coaxial Reversing Double Rotor

Abstract


The authors propose a hybrid drone with coaxial reversing double rotor that consists of a large coaxial reversing double rotor and a general drone for increasing its payload. For a general drone large payload needs large motors and the total size becomes large. A helicopter usually has a large rotor and can have large payload but difficult for controlling while a drone can be controlled easily. We construct our proposed hybrid drone by setting a large coaxial reversing double rotor on the upside of a drone so that can increase the payload without increasing the width of the drone. Experimental results showed the propose hybrid drone can be controlled as same as a general drone and the payload can be increased.
