Abstract

A theory for the suppression of the electronic part of the total electrical conductivity for molten sulfide‐molten halide mixtures is described. A closed form expression for the electronic conductivity is derived which contains a single parameter related to the bandgap of the molten halide. Excellent agreement between theory and experiment is achieved.
