Abstract

The growth of large α-NiSO4 · 6H2O single crystals under steady-state conditions of temperature difference and forced solution convection is described. The influence of temperature and hydrodynamic conditions on the growth rate of single crystals is investigated. The parameters of the single crystals grown are determined by optical spectroscopy and X-ray topography.
