Abstract

Trixagus baluchicus sp. n. from southeastern Iran is described. The new species is similar to T. duvalii (Bonvouloir, 1859), but differs from the latter in the narrower body more strongly tapered posteriorly, pale rustybrown coloration, less transverse pronotum, sparser punctation, distinct punctures on the elytral interstriae, somewhat narrower antennal club, wider parameres evenly convex at sides, and more elongate phallobase enlarged only in the basal third.
