Kurzfassung
Nach dem Mikrofossilgehalt, der in seiner Zusammensetzung aus Foraminiferen, Crinoiden, Holothurien und Ostracoden gänzlich jener der rhätischen Zlambachmergel der Ostalpen gleicht, sind die Kiotomergel von Kumaun als ein Äquivalent der Zlambachmergel aufzufassen. Wenn auch die Lithologie übereinstimmt, was noch zu überprüfen ist, sind die Kiotomergel als Zlambachmergel zu bezeichnen.
Abstract
The content of microfossils (foraminifers, crinoids, holothurian sclerites and ostracodes) of the Kioto Marls of Kumaun, Himalaya, is identical with the microfauna of the Rhaetian (Uppermost Triassic) Zlambach Marls of the Eastern Alps. Therefore, the Kioto Marls must be considered to be an equivalent of the Zlambach Marls of Austria. If the lithological aspect corresponds, too - what remains to be examined - the Kioto Marls have to be named Zlambach Marls.
