Abstract
Cephalophysis (HERTEL)KILIAS gen. nov. is described as new. This genus is based on Lecidea leucospila ANZI, hitherto better known as Lecidea ultima TH. FR. It is compared with Apatoplaca POELT & HAFELLNER, a member of the same family also with a crustaceous, non-pigmented thallus, black apothecia and non-septated spores. The following new combinations are proposed: Cephalophysis leucospila (ANZI)KILIAS & SCHEIDEGGER and Cephalophysis leucospila var. caelivicina (POELT. HERTEL)KILIAS & SCHEIDEGGER. Lecidea ultima TH. FR. has proved to be a synonym of Lecidea leucospila ANZI.
