Abstract
From three samples 13 genera and 35 taxa have been found, the majority being of a cosmopolitan distribution with only a few limited to sub-tropical or tropical habitats. The rarely-seen Penium spinulosum (Wolle) Gerrath was an interesting find. None of the taxa can be said to be endemic to Madagascar, a reversal of the situation with the island's macroflora. Five new records are added.
