Glueball components of the meson f2(1270)

Abstract

It is shown that in order to explain the ratios x and y of the helicity amplitudes for the process Jψγ+f2(1270) and the experimental datum R=B(ψ(3685)γ+f2(1270))B(Jψγ+f2(1270))=(9±3)% in terms of the mixture between the meson f2(1270) and a 2++ glueball, two D-wave components have to be considered in addition to the S-wave component of the 2++ glueball.
