Abstract

We consider the possible decay modes of a heavy Higgs boson in the mass range MW(80 Gev)MH1 TeV within the standard model of Weinberg and Salam. For MH>2MW, Z we find the decay modes HW+W or Z0Z0 to dominate the usual fermion-antifermion decay (ff); for MW,ZMH2MW, Z we find the Higgs-boson width still dominated by f¯f although new decays such as HW±+f¯f and HZ0+f¯f are present. These new decay modes are significantly phase-space suppressed and are found to contribute with branching ratios less than 1%.
