Abstract

We develop a semiclassical procedure to calculate breakup reaction products’ angular and energy distributions in the laboratory frame of reference. The effects of the Coulomb and nuclear interaction potentials on the classical trajectories, as well as bound-bound, bound-continuum, and continuum-continuum couplings, are included. As an example we consider the 8B+58Ni system at Elab=26 MeV and find very good agreement with the available experimental data.
