“Trojan horse” method applied to 2H(6Li,α)4He at astrophysical energies

Abstract

The 6Li(6Li,αα)4He three-body reaction has been studied in a kinematically complete experiment at E6Li=6MeV, from which indirect information on the 2H(6Li,α)4He two-body reaction at 13<~Ec.m.<~750keV has been extracted by applying the Trojan horse method. The method used a recent improved formulation. The derived astrophysical S(E) factor for the two-body process is compared with that obtained from direct experiments.
