Abstract
The effect of Pauli paramagnetic limiting on the upper critical magnetic field of a spin-fluctuation-mediated d-wave superconductor with arbitrary impurity concentration is calculated. In contrast to s-wave pairing, the extreme Pauli limit does depend on the impurity concentration. In this model does not correspond to the highest attainable value of . Our equations reduce properly to the Werthamer-Helfand-Hohenberg equations but with the factor (1+λ of the Schossmann and Carbotte calculation. Strong-coupling effects are considered explicitly. © 1996 The American Physical Society.
