Abstract

We have studied the influence of frequency and ac voltage in the measurements of the dielectric constant and dielectric loss in betaine calcium chloride dihydrate. The study of thermal hysteresis provided a clear support for the existence of an incommensurate phase sandwiched between the δ(T)=4/15 and δ(T)=6/23 C phases.
