Abstract

We have measured the conductance and Young's modulus of sheets of randomly holed metallized Mylar. The percolation threshold is pc=0.34±0.02, the conductivity exponent is t¯=1.4±0.2, and the elastic exponent, f¯=5.3±0.7, is at least 32 larger than that for lattices. This confirms Halperin, Feng, and Sen's prediction [Phys. Rev. Lett. 54, 2391 (1985)].
